  • he Voice-Acoustic CXN-12 is a high-performance, passive 2-way stage monitor, equipped with a coaxial 12"/1.4" neodymium transducer with 80° conical dispersion. With its compact and elegantly rounded low-profile enclosure, the CXN is ideal for live performance as well as for demanding applications in TV and gala productions. Thanks to its small footprint, it takes up very little space on stage.

The high sound quality and neutral balance guarantee first-class transparency, assertiveness and feedback resistance. Performers or musicians receive precise feedback with clean intonation. A powerful, warm and precise fundamental sound and distortion-free high frequencies create a sense of well-being on stage for tireless performance. The CXN-12 responds very well to EQ interventions, allowing a sound engineer to easily emphasise voices and instruments in the individual monitor mix.

With a width of just 37 cm and a height of only 30 cm, the CXN-12 is one of the smallest floor monitors in the 12" class. With a weight of just 14 kg, it is the lightest in its class. Thanks to its low weight and the central handle in the base of the housing, the speaker can also be carried comfortably with one hand. The handles on the sides, embedded in the centre of gravity, increase ergonomics in daily touring use. The honeycomb grille has a wide lateral support surface with a stabilising curvature and 2 mm material thickness, making it step-resistant.

The connection panel is recessed and angled downwards. Speaker plugs can't be kicked off and are visually unobtrusive, rain drips off the edge of the housing and the connections are protected. The large bass reflex ports of the CXN-12 are not located in the baffle, but on an angled side, parallel to the floor and facing the stage. This design increases efficiency and prevents rain from running over the baffle into the interior of the enclosure.

The rubber feet of the CXN-12 fit into the stacking holes of an upright Paveosub-115 and are ideal for monitoring a drummer sitting on a drum riser. A safety point for a safety rope and a recessed flying track for the popular Easyfly-mechanism, as well as an optional U-bracket, allow a wide range of multipurpose applications.

As with all Voice-Acoustic loudspeakers, the housing is made of sturdy birch plywood of the highest quality: CNC milled, grooved, screwed and waterproof glued. The surface is protected by a stable and moisture-resistant polyurea coating in black. A white version and special colours with 2K textured paint are optionally available.

    Control

The CXN-12 is a passive bass reflex loudspeaker with an impedance of 8 Ω. The internal passive crossover only separates the frequency range. The linearization is done by DSP filters. Operation only with a single channel of a Voice-Acoustic HDSP system amplifier, abou a self-powered subwoofer or the VADAS system amplifier!
